CM Punk made headlines by becoming the first ever WWE superstar to win two consecutive Money in the Bank ladder matches, when he walked out of WrestleMania as Mr. Money in the Bank in 2008 and 2009.

In 2008, he held the contract for 92 days before finally exercising his right and winning the WWE title from Edge. Next in 2009, he took the title from the Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy after a successful cash-in.

Punk even had a 5-star match with John Cena at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in 2011. However, he soon left the company because of creative differences and then never returned.

He made his return to pro wrestling a few days back but looking at the way things have transpired after that event, it looks highly unlikely we may see Punk in a WWE ring again.
