The backstory

A year-long transformation from a bubbly and cheerful babyface to a ruthless, badass character saw Becky Lynch turn into "The Man". Her heel turn at last year's Summerslam event resulted in Becky getting heavily cheered by the audience, which took WWE by surprise.

Her popularity only grew from that point on, as WWE was forced to completely rethink the main event of WrestleMania 35. The initial plans of Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair were scrapped in favor of putting the spotlight on Becky and giving the fans what they had been waiting for a good while.

The tear-jerker

At WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch competed in the final match of the show, taking on Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat bout. The ending to the match saw Becky steal a quick pin over Rousey, surprising her as well athe 80,000 fans and millions watching at home.

The first-ever Women's main event in WrestleMania history saw Lynch come out on top, who had stated 8 years ago that she had done everything she could do in regards to wrestling. After the match, Lynch arrived backstage and was greeted by none other than Vince McMahon, who shared a wholesome moment with 'The Man'.

This wasn't the end though, as Becky Lynch caught Universal Champion Seth Rollins in tears. The two can be seen embracing in the following video, with Rollins barely being able to control his tears. The two made their relationship public weeks later.

The aftermath

Around two months later, Becky Lynch still has one of the two belts she won at 'Mania, while Rollins has managed to hold on to his Universal Title, despite Brock Lesnar's attempts to take it back.
