The backstory

Seth Rollins is the current Universal Champion and one of the most popular WWE Superstars at the moment, along with Becky Lynch and Kofi Kingston. The path towards becoming the top champion in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world wasn't an easy one for Rollins.

An old interview with TV Insider saw Seth Rollins talk about an incident from his past, when he was an ambitious teen, wanting to become a famous wrestler.

When the present met the future

While talking with TV Insider, Seth Rollins recalled an amusing incident from his teen years, involving WWE legend, Chris Jericho.

Rollins said that he wasn't interested in taking autographs and simply wanted to show off his backyard wrestling pictures to Chris Jericho and other wrestlers, namely Edge & Christian, Test, and Billy Gunn. According to Seth, Jericho didn't shrug him off and was cool when he tried to talk to him in a gym.

I was really bad at meeting wrestlers. I lived in a small town in Iowa. We didn't have shows very often, so I didn't get to meet many of the guys. Chris Jericho was really cool to me when I first met him.
I was a 16-year-old kid who barged in on him because I wanted to show him my backyard wrestling pictures. He was very cool about it when he had no reason to be.
