It was reported earlier about Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler being involved in an accident last night. He was with his girlfriend Lauryn when the head-on collision took place.
In latest updates, Jerry himself has come out to confirm the accident and also stated that his girlfriend had to spend 4 hours in an emergency room before being discharged. Although Jerry was fortunate to escape unhurt, his car wasn’t so lucky as it was in a banged-up state. Below are the photos posted by Jerry:
‘The King’ commented on the accident and said that he wasn’t at fault as the driver of the car who collided with him, jumped a red signal. Although Lawler didn't incur any major injuries, his girlfriend suffered a banged up knee and a swollen face.

This is what he had to say:
“I’m fine, but Lauryn is pretty banged up. We had taken care of the trick-or-treaters and went for pizza right near the house. We were coming home to catch the end of the University of Memphis game. I was sitting at a red light at a busy intersection not a minute from my house.”
“I got the green arrow to make a left turn. I started making the turn and I saw the car coming, not slowing down at all. The driver ran a red light.”
“Lauryn was in the ER for four hours. Her face is really, really swollen on the left side. They also put her in a leg brace and knee immobilizer. I think she has a concussion because this morning when she got up, she fell down and saw stars and black spots.”
Lawler’s well being comes as a huge relief for the pro wrestling community as a whole because of his legendary stature. Whether he would be ringside for Smackdown’s commentary is not known as of yet, but he is most likely to be at home with his girlfriend for the time being.
