WWE NXT aired last night and it was a big show. The program set up numerous big matches and appearances from ECW and wrestling legends for NXT's debut at the 2300 Arena next Wednesday, plus there was fallout from Halloween Havoc.
In what was one of the most exciting NXT moments in recent memory, a massive 10-Woman Tag Team Match has been announced featuring some of the very best in the industry.
One side features NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx, and NXT Women's North American Champion Fallon Henley. The other side is an absolutely stacked lineup featuring stars endorsed by arguably the biggest star in wrestling: Rhea Ripley.
The five women endorsed by Rhea, with one in particular getting her approval on a regular basis, are all fantastic in their own right. This article will take a look at one of the most stacked teams in women's wrestling history.
#5. Kelani Jordan is a former champion
Kelani Jordan is a fantastic up-and-coming star on the WWE NXT brand. The real-life girlfriend of Carmelo Hayes is an incredible athlete who has modeled much of her in-ring style off of Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam.
Up until Halloween Havoc, Jordan was the first and only WWE NXT Women's North American Champion. Battling out against Fatal Influence in a Gauntlet Match, Jordan lost her prized title to Fallon Henley.
Due to her issues with Fatal Influence, it is no surprise that the former champion stepped up to this five-woman formation. While she is by far the least experienced of the team, Kelani has already proven she can deliver in the ring. This alone might be the reason why Rhea endorsed her.
#4. Zaria has been endorsed by Rhea Ripley
Zaria is one of the most physically impressive female stars in all of pro wrestling. She spent several years dominating Australia before joining WWE recently. Her first official appearance took place last week, but she didn't get physical until Halloween Havoc.
The powerful woman is coming into WWE with a lot of hype. Despite being less known than other recent international signings, the former DELTA has been regularly listed with them as top stars ready to take over the company. One such person who has touted her as a big deal is Rhea Ripley.
With Ripley's endorsement over Zaria, there is little doubt that the buff Aussie will want to demolish the competition next week. She seemingly has her eyes set on the Women's North American Championship, so a win next week will both help her make an immediate splash, put her in title contention, and impress The Eradicator.
#3. Giulia is The Beautiful Madness
One of the best wrestlers in the world is now on NXT. Giulia signed with WWE at some point this year after appearing in the crowd at NXT Stand & Deliver. Once she finally debuted officially, she instantly became a top star on the brand.
Giulia has a lot of reasons to be involved in this bout. Her first WWE title shot was ruined when Cora Jade helped Roxanne Perez defeat The Beautiful Madness. Additionally, Fatal Influence has been a constant thorn in her side.
Rhea Ripley offering her endorsement to the group is likely in part thanks to Giulia's success. While Rhea and Giulia are strangers to one another, The Eradicator surely knows about The Beautiful Madness' popularity and in-ring prowess. Someone who hits as hard as Giulia is surely somebody Rhea can get behind.
#2. Stephanie Vaquer is making a splash in WWE
Stephanie Vaquer is another unbelievably talented performer. She just joined WWE this year after having massive success in CMLL, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and even after appearing at AEW's Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View.
Much like Giulia, Stephanie has had issues with Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Vaquer debuted in WWE by helping Giulia battle "Team 2001". Given that Stephanie pinned Roxanne at Halloween Havoc, she also likely wants a title shot sooner rather than later.
Just like with Giulia, Rhea Ripley surely knows the star that Stephanie is. Beyond that, the two share a similar aesthetic in that both tend to wear dark clothing and listen to metal music. So Rhea giving Stephanie her endorsement just makes sense.
#1. TNA Wrestling's Jordynne Grace evened the odds
Jordynne Grace is the only person seemingly not signed by WWE on this list. Jordynne is a TNA wrestler whose contract is rumored to be coming up next year. Most expect her to jump ship to World Wrestling Entertainment upon doing so.
The now-former TNA Knockouts Champion has appeared on NXT several times this year. Her primary rival on the WWE program has been Roxanne Perez, whom she challenged for the NXT Women's Title. Unfortunately, Jordynne lost thanks in part to interference. As a result, Grace likely holds some grudges towards the champion.
Rhea giving The Juggernaut her endorsement is a no-brainer. Not only did they take pictures together after meeting last night, as Rhea did with several others, but they're known as two of the best powerhouses in the game.
