#2 Why it is not good: Gable needs the push more than Corbin
Ever since the turn of the year, it seems as though the company have made an irreversible decision to push Baron Corbin. He was first chosen to become Kurt Angle’s last opponent at WrestleMania, and not only that, he beat the former World Champion.
After that, he became the number one contender for the WWE Universal Championship, and that feud with Seth Rollins went on for a prolonged period before the Beast Slayer shut him down at Extreme Rules.
And now, he is in the finals of the King of the Ring. As a result, it is safe to claim that the Lone Wolf has been given his fair share of momentum this year, and he doesn’t really need it as much as Chad Gable does.
Gable had been nonexistent for most of the year, but he finally found some limelight in this tournament. WWE also did a fine job in portraying him as the ultimate underdog by making other Superstars underestimate him due to his physical stature.
As a result, a fitting end to this story would be if Gable goes all the way and become the King of the Ring, as it would be the push that he needs to take his career to greater heights.
