WWE RAW: 3 Reasons why Baron Corbin becoming King of the Ring is good & 2 reasons why it is not

#1 Why it isn’t good: Some other heel could have been pushed

A wonderful sight

If one looks at the past winners of the King of the Ring tournament, they would know that heels have won the tournament most of the time. And it makes sense, as the villains make better Kings because of their evil personas.

And this is where the question arises: couldn’t WWE have pushed some other heel instead of Corbin?

After all, he has already been given many chances this year, as mentioned earlier, so wasn’t it time for someone else to be given the push they needed? The likes of Drew McIntyre are dying for a push like this, and it was perhaps the perfect platform for WWE to push the Chosen One.

In fact, many thought that this was finally going to be McIntyre’s moment but once again, after a strong 2018, 2019 hasn’t been kind to him.

Corbin might be improving a lot, but there was a plethora of options to choose from for the role of an evil King, and Drew McIntyre was just one example in a roster that has the likes of Samoa Joe and Andrade.
