It's been reported multiple times that TNA president Dixie Carter is looking to sell some of the company's stocks in order to resolve their financial problems. Now it looks like TNA has finally made some progress in that pursuit and is heading towards making some sort of deal to sell the company.
Actually, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer radio that the situation regarding the future of the company is "is coming to a head." Meltzer said that they are in a situation where some sort of deal regarding the stock sale is closer than it has been in a while.
However, he said that he doesn't have any information about the buyer or of what kind of deal they are looking to make and how it will affect the ownership of the company. It has been widely rumoured that Carter wanted a deal where she could sell some stocks but remain the majority owner of the company.
As we reported earlier, talks of TNA's current Senior Producer of Creative & Talent Development Billy Corgan being interested in buying more stocks were up in the air. Rumours also suggested that former wrestlers The Harris Twins, who are also minority owners of the company, were also interested in buying some more stocks.
However everything is just a rumor for now and the picture regarding this sale should get clearer in the near future.
