Last year on October 1, WWE legend Edge shocked the world of professional wrestling when he made his AEW debut as Adam Copeland. Towards the end of the WrestleDream 2023 PPV, Copeland appeared against Christian and got a huge pop.
However, nearly a year and a month after his debut in the Tony Khan-led promotion, it seems like Edge could be heading back to WWE. While there is no official confirmation about the same, recently, the Stafmord-based promotion has filed a new trademark for the name 'Edge.'
This trademark filing could very well mean the 11-time WWE World Champion might be back on his way back to the Stamford-based promotion. Another hint that Edge might be returning to the Triple H-led company comes from his recent comments. The veteran wrestler appeared on Insights with Chris Van Vliet earlier this year.

During this episode, he revealed that he had a year and a half left in his tank, after which he would like to return home and be a father, act occasionally, and walk his dogs. While nothing is confirmed yet, it won't be surprising if Edge ends up returning to WWE to bring the curtains down on his glorious career.
Popular wrestling star recently expressed a desire to face WWE legend Edge
Before joining AEW, Edge cemented his place as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time during his stint with WWE. Under the banner of the Stamford-based promotion, he not only became an 11-time World Champion but also won other titles and created a lot of memorable moments.
Naturally, plenty of modern-day wrestlers grew up watching the Canadian, and they wished to face him someday. One such wrestler is Edge's AEW colleague, Will Ospreay. During an appearance on The Masked Man Show, Ospreay named Copeland as his dream opponent.
"Adam Copeland. Like I want to know what that looks like. I would love to know like ... he was saying a little while ago like when he was in the ring and when he was healthy, like, he would just try a new thing every single time, and I can't remember a time where he was like this. He fits right into AEW, and it's, like ... it's such a weird concept to wrap your head around because it's like, 'Man, I grew up watching you,'" he said.
Currently, Edge, who is known as Adam Copeland in AEW, is out of action as he broke his tibia at AEW Double or Nothing. However, once he is back, there is a chance Ospreay could finally get to face his dream opponent if the latter stays with AEW.
