WWE RAW's 2025 will start with a banger as the show will officially move to Netflix. Due to the momentous event, a lot of top stars and legends are expected to appear. Interestingly, one of them might even be someone who was last seen a couple of years ago.

WWE RAW has experienced several changes in the past few months, but the biggest one is yet to come. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Monday show will officially move to Netflix on January 6, 2025. Stars like John Cena, The Rock, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns are expected to appear on the brand and the momentous episode. Interestingly, a couple of legends are also expected to appear on the brand, among them is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

During a Live Q&A on Backstage Pass, WrestleVotes reported that John Cena and The Rock are confirmed to appear on RAW's first episode on Netflix. He also named Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin as possible appearances for the show, along with others under a legends deal.

Stone Cold Steve Austin's last WWE RAW appearance was on the March 16, 2020, episode, during which he celebrated the 316 Day by drinking with Byron Saxton before delivering a Stunner. Becky Lynch and The Street Profits also joined the celebration.

On the other hand, Steve's last appearance for the company as a whole was in WrestleMania 38 on April 2, 2022, where he fought Kevin Owens in the Night One main event. This marked the first time he wrestled since 2003.

Will WWE RAW change its TV rating once it moves to Netflix?

One of the theories heading into the Netflix move was that the Monday show might become more mature since it will no longer be aired on traditional television networks. However, that won't be the case.

At a recent Netflix Media Day, Triple H confirmed that RAW will maintain a TV-PG rating to ensure it is safe for everybody to watch. Nick Khan added that it will remain family-friendly.

"We're not changing the rating of our programming. There's some online chatter about 'Oh it's going to be R-rated—or for us old folks—X-rated...' That's definitely not happening. It's family friendly, multigenerational, advertiser-friendly programming. It's going to stay that way."

It remains to be seen what will occur once Monday Night RAW will land on Netflix next month.
