WWE's Premium Live Event, Royal Rumble, is known for surprising returns. Over the years, the event has seen legends like Kane, Rey Mysterio, Diesel, John Cena, Triple H, and many others return for the men's Battle Royal. Thus, Royal Rumble 2025 may also witness a renowned personality competing for the second time in the last two years.

The star is a six-time World Champion, Booker T. The 59-year-old legend last appeared at the Royal Rumble in 2023 but was eliminated in 42 seconds by Gunther. Later, the Hall of Famer announced that he had retired due to his age. His last title match in the Stamford-based promotion was against Cody Rhodes in 2012 for the Intercontinental Championship. He soon quit wrestling and was announced as the General Manager of SmackDown.

However, the WCW legend may go for a final Royal Rumble show before bringing the curtains down on his career. Moreover, rumors of Booker T returning for Royal Rumble 2025 have been circulating because of his match at his promotion, Reality of Wrestling.

The Hall of Famer will compete in a match against Zilla Fatu at the show's upcoming event on January 11. The two had a confrontation during the ROW Breakout event on December 29, during which Zilla Fatu had a heated exchange with Booker T. Fatu said that it hurt that he wanted the WCW legend to be his mentor, but he turned into his enemy.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

He challenged the Hall of Famer for a match on January 11, which Booker T duly accepted. Booker T's last traditional match took place in July 2022 at the ROW Summer of Champions VIII event.

Booker T speaks on Zilla Fatu's WWE debut

While the Hall of Famer may collide with Zilla Fatu in a match, Booker T has advocated for the 25-year-old's debut at the Stamford-based promotion.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T praised Umaga's son and said that he should sign with WWE and join The Bloodline.

"My thing is this, we concentrate on Reality of Wrestling and our thing is I can’t think about anything other than trying to get that young man, Zilla, because he’s talent, get him to the next level, and the next level for me for Zilla, is the WWE. That’s his landing zone. That’s his safe zone, the WWE and his family. I really believe that...but I’m definitely going to try to get him all the way to the WWE and beyond just because he’s family," the Hall of Famer said.

Moreover, Fatu is also rumored to have signed an Independent program contract with the Stamford-based promotion. It remains to be seen when his potential debut will happen.
