It may have taken longer than expected, but the anticipated Dean Ambrose heel turn finally happened a few weeks ago. This was one of the biggest moments in WWE this year, and if it has proven anything, it is that Dean Ambrose has the ability to become a huge solo star.
He often took the backseat to the likes of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, and there was even concern that he would be the superstar to suffer the most when The Shield initially broke up almost 5 years ago.

This would prove to be untrue as his feud with Rollins remains as one of the greatest feuds in the WWE up to this day, and that feud saw him emerge as a crowd favorite.
Ambrose has not received much of a run in the main event scene despite his popularity. However, his heel turn and Roman Reigns' illness might just be his chance to prove his true worth to the company.
