The results from the WWE Live Event that took place in Amsterdam on 14/4/2016 are in and here’s what went down at the show.
Lilian Garcia welcomed the crowd to the show in Dutch
- It was reported that there was a quite a crowd at the Ziggo Dome. The stadium was packed and close to selling out.
- Cesaro’s ever evolving arsenal of attacks were on display here. It was reported that he actually did a 619, a move out of Rey Mysterio’s book. He defeated Stardust with a Cesaro Swing turning it into a Sharpshooter. Cesaro was reported to be very over with the crowd.
Sin Cara defeated Tyler Breeze
- Tyler Breeze’s impressive losing streak was on display again. It was reported that Sin Cara was highly entertaining to watch. Apparently, Tyler Breeze threw a fit after the match and demanded another match. He even vowed to never participate in a match at Amsterdam again if he lost. Jack Swagger came out to a huge pop and trampled over Breeze.
- Kane was reported to be very over with the fans at the stadium. It is heartening to hear that legends like Kane still have their importance in the current scheme of things. The match was a slugfest of powerhouses and it reportedly lived up to the expectations.
WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day defeated Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan
- With both Harper and Bray injured, it fell to Rowan to carry the match as Strowman is still green in the ring. It was a reported to be a good match and Rowan shined through the match. Maybe, this injury of top stars will be a blessing in disguise. Rowan may even show his full potential and break out of their shadows. Apparently, Bray was absent at the ringside.
WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte defeated Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat
- Charlotte was reported to receive a huge heat from the fans while both Becky and Sasha were embraced by fans with tremendous ovation. Charlotte piled more heat by stealing another win after a great match.
The Usos defeated The Dudley Boyz
- Despite being done too many times, this match was reported to be exciting. There was a great chemistry between these two teams and Bubba Ray Dudley thrived in his heel role. He was reported to be very exciting and the match was graded as the best of the entire evening.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus
- The main event saw Sheamus face Reigns again. Reigns was welcomed with major ovation but some of his moves were received with major boos. He has to add some more moves to his arsenal. It looks like his new personality is driving fans towards him.
