Rusev’s heroic act led to a match against The Viper in the penultimate bout of the night. The match had a screwy finish when Aiden English tried to interfere and help Rusev only to see the plan backfire miserably. The unwanted interference cost Rusev the match as Orton picked up the win.
The tension between Rusev and English was all there to be seen after the match. Rusev was frustrated and even told English to get away from him. The seeds of a split may have been planted! End of Rusev day?

#7 AJ Styles (C) vs. Samoa Joe (WWE Championship Match)
The former TNA rivals faced each other in the main event for the top prize in WWE and as expected, they tore the house down. Styles was inarguably got the best pops of the night along with Rusev as he went on the successfully defend the WWE title against the Samoan Submission Machine.
Joe and Styles know each other very well and it was evident in their match. Hopefully, they bring their A-game to the biggest party of the Summer.
