WWE halted at Fresno, California for the final live show before this Sunday's RAW-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE No Mercy.
The show featured several top stars of the red brand. There were three Championship defenses and the main event showcased another collision between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman.
The results of the live event have been provided below:
#1 Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose(c) vs Sheamus and Cesaro [WWE RAW Tag team Championship match]
The fans in attendance witnessed a preview of this Sunday's Tag title bout as the RAW Tag team Champions collided with the #1 contenders for their title.
This was an action-packed match that kept the audience invested in it. The Ripcord Knee-Dirty Deeds combo on Sheamus allowed Dean Ambrose to pin the Celtic Warrior and pick up the win for his team.
Result: Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins retained the WWE RAW Tag team Championship over Sheamus and Cesaro
#2 Nevile(c) vs Akira Tozawa [WWE Cruiserweight Championship]
The match was short, yet fast-paced and the King of Cruiserweights continued his dominating performance. Tozawa made numerous attempts to pick up the pinfall and regain the Cruiserweight title but Neville forced him to submit to the Rings of Saturn.
Result: Neville defeated Akira Tozawa to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
#3 Matt Hardy (with Jeff Hardy) vs Karl Anderson (with Luke Gallows)
The birthday boy, Matt Hardy, received a huge ovation during his entrance. This was another short match and Hardy dominated the most of it. Gallows made several attempts to turn the match in favour of his friend but they went in vain, courtesy Jeff Hardy. Matt gained the pinfall following a Twist of Fate.
Result: Matt Hardy defeated Karl Anderson
#4 Elias vs Finn Balor
While there was not much of a reaction for Elias or his singing, the crowd erupted during the entrance of Finn Balor. Elias gave some tough fight to the former WWE Universal Champion and had the upper hand for substantial part of the match. Balor managed to recuperate and pinned him following a Coup De Grace.
Result: Finn Balor defeated Elias
#5 John Cena vs Bray Wyatt
John Cena made his way out amidst one of the loudest pops of the night. There were several followers of the Buzzard in the audience as well. The former World Champions wrestled back-and-forth and went on to deliver one of the best matches of the night.
An Attitude Adjustment on Wyatt helped Cena to pick up the pinfall win.
Result: John Cena defeated Bray Wyatt
#6 Jason Jordan, Heath Slater, Rhyno, R-Truth and Goldust vs Dash Wilder, Darren Young, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Curt Hawkins
Darren Young is back in action and surprisingly, he sided with the 'heel' team. This was fun tag team contest and the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship, Jason Jordan, picked up the win for his team.
Result: Jason Jordan, Heath Slater, R-Truth, Rhyno and Goldust defeated Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Dash Wilder, Darren Young and Curt Hawkins
#7 Alexa Bliss(c) vs Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mickie James [Fatal 4-way match for the WWE RAW Women's Championship]
Both Bayley and Sasha received a decent reaction from the fans in attendance. The match was short and it came to an end when Bliss pinned Mickie James after a Snap DDT.
Result: Alexa Bliss defeated Mickie James, Bayley and Sasha Banks to retain the WWE RAW Women's Championship
#8 Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman
Roman Reigns was greeted with a loud mixed reaction, but the cheers were more significant. Strowman and Reigns brawled in and out of the ring but it came to an abrupt end when the 'Monster Among Men' used the steel stairs to attack Reigns.
After the match, Strowman attempted to continue the assault on Reigns but 'The Big Dog' countered the Powerslam into a Superman Punch and Speared Strowman through a table.
Result: Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman via DQ
