Last night, North Carolina witnessed the return of the iconic Starrcade Live Event after seventeen long years. WWE hosted the event at Greensboro which was also the venue for the first Starrcade held back in 1983.
The star-studded event generated a lot of buzz amidst the wrestling buffs all around the world and catered to the nostalgia and curiosity of the old and new fans respectively. Needless to say, it was a great success.
Here, we bring you the results of WWE Starrcade 2017.

#1 Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler.
This match saw an intervention by WWE Hall of Famer and the original member of Four Horsemen, Arn Anderson who decided to attack Ziggler and cost him the match. "The Showoff" received a not so surprising spinebuster from Anderson. Meanwhile, Roode seized the opportunity and subjected Ziggler to his Glorious DDT.
This ultimately led to the latter taking the pin and Roode had his arms raised in victory.

#2 The Bludgeon Brothers, Mike Kanellis, The Colons and Rusev vs Breezango, Sin Cara, the Ascension and Tye Dillinger
In a struggling combat, The Bludgeon Brothers were determined to establish their dominance over their opponents. They went up against the "Fashion Police" and Co. and decided to raid in the territory of their challengers alongside their other team members.
Ending the match in a classic Bludgeon Brothers bout, they hit their two-man finish before picking up the pinfall.
Result: The Bludgeon Brothers, Mike Kanellis, the Colons and Rusev def. Breezango, Sin Cara, the Ascension and Tye Dillinger
#3 Naomi vs Tamina
Naomi and Tamina revived their rivalry from earlier this year and exchanged few blows in the ring before the two time SmackDown Women's Champion picked up her first Starrcade win.
Result: Naomi def. Tamina
#4 Dustin Rhodes vs Dash Wilder
It was one of those events that received the loudest pop in the evening. Widely regarded as the Starrcade legend, Rhodes fought in the ring without his Goldust gimmick.
"The Natural" took down his opponent after executing a running Bulldog. The crowd hailed the veteran as he picked up his Starrcade win by pinfall.
Post the match, Rhodes stayed back in the ring to address the crowd. He expressed his gratitude towards the love and support that he received from his fans and credited them for making his career memorable.

The Hardy Boyz celebrate with the Rock N' Roll Express
They were not here to fight. Instead, they were here to glorify the history of this event as they celebrated the return of Starrcade. They brought Rock 'N' Roll express and together, they paid a tribute to the Hall of Famers.
They were soon joined by The New Day and all the three teams had a mini celebration in the ring as they danced and urged everyone present in the arena to do the same.
#5 Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin (US Championship Match)
The title bout between the two saw the disqualification of Corbin after he decided to bring a steel chair to his aid during the match. As a result, Nakamura picked up the win.
However, the fight didn't stop here. "The King of Strong Style" greeted Corbin with a Kinshasa after the bell rang and brought the match to it's deserved end.

#6 The Usos vs The New Day vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ( Fatal 4-Way Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match)
The newly formed alliance between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn was not enough to stop The Usos from dominating inside the ring. In this fatal four way combat, The Usos relied on their timings and brilliant coordination that won them the match despite the likes of SmackDown's strongest heels.
Hence, they successfully defeated their championship against all the three teams.
Result: The Usos def. The New Day, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
#7 Charlotte Flair vs Natalya (Smackdown Women’s Championship Steel Cage Match)
Flair was her strongest self in the ring tonight. Right before the match, Ric Flair made an appearance at the event. "The Nature Boy" was there to cut an emotional promo in which he addressed the wrestling universe right before introducing his daughter to the steel cage match where she would fight to retain her title.
In a decent bout, Flair appeared to be dominant during most of it. She picked her win after Natalya submitted at the count of eight.
#8 AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal (WWE Championship Steel Cage Match)
This main event was exactly how you would expect it to be. Since there was no scope for any outside interference, "The Modern Day Maharaja" was up against "The Phenomenal One" all by himself.
Styles received some of the loudest pops of the night as he took down the foreign heel with his unending finishers. Mahal, on the other hand, looked decent while exchanging blows with "The Lone Wolf".
After a long fight, Styles managed to escape the cage and retain his championship to close the night.
The fans were happy with the event as was evident from the loud cheers that acclaimed all the wins picked up during the night.
