Thanks to dailywrestlingnews.com for the results of WWE’s Live Event held in Los Angeles, California.
This Live Event kicked off with the announcement that WWE will return to Staple Center the Monday before WrestleMania 31. Over 95 percent of the crowd capacity were present for this event and were asked to choose the match between Fandango and Jack Swagger as either a regular match or dance off.
Fans watched WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and NXT Champion Sami Zayn retain their titles against Luke Harper and Adrian Neville. There were matches for Bad News Barrett, New Day, The Miz and Damien Sandow and the main event was between John Cena and Seth Rollins in a street fight match. Here are the results:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
- Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler beat Luke Harper in 15:00 to retain the Intercontinental Title. Ziggler won via two super kicks & a Zig-Zag. The crowd was hot for DZ and LOTS of stalling at the start.
- NXT champion Sami Zayn beat Adrian Neville at 10:45 to retain the NXT Title. Zayn won with the Helluva Kick. Good “Ole!” chants, mild NXT chants. Quality match.
- Kane cut a promo on Randy Orton, calling him out for turning on The Authority. It was clearly taped from before Raw, as Kane said he was why The Authority wasn’t in power. Oops.
- Fandango and Jack Swagger had their dance-off. Fandango and Rosa Mendes did their thing, then Swagger danced to “California Love” until Fandango attacked him. Swagger eventually put him in the Patriot Lock to end the segment.
- Randy Orton beat Kane at 3:30 with the RKO. Huge pop for the returning Orton.
- [intermission]
- Bellas (Divas champion Nikki Bella & Brie Bella) beat Alicia Fox & Emma at 7:45 after Nikki hit Emma with the Wreck Attack. Big pop for Brie. They liked Emma, too. Huge heel heat for Nikki.
- Afterward, Nikki cut a promo calling herself the greatest women’s champion of 2014 and 2015. That brought out Paige for the attack, so I guess we’ll be seeing that soon.
- Next out were The Miz and Damien Mizdow. Miz complained about his reception considering his Hollywood connections, then pointed out Paul Stanley of KISS. Miz asked Stanley’s kid who his favorite wrestler was, and his reply was Mizdow. New Day then came out, and Xavier Woods ran down Miz for being mean to Mizdow. That brought out Bad News Barrett, who declared he would join to make it three-on-three.
- New Day (Big E. & Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) beat Bad News Barrett & The Miz & Damien Mizdow in 14:00 in a six-man tag match. Barrett accidentally knocked out Miz with the Bullhammer, allowing Big E. and Kingston to hit the Big Ending. Great work by Mizdow, including a moment where Woods, Kingston, Miz, and Mizdow were all cloning each other. Mizdow was way over with the crowd.
- John Cena beat Seth Rollins in a Street Fight in 25:00 via AA through a table. It was a 70/30 reception for both – 70 boos for Rollins and 70 cheers for Cena. Rollins’s heel work was superb. Rollins went through a second table as well.
