AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe

AJ Styles took on Samoa Joe, a man who he has no shortage of history with. They renewed their grudge match in a fantastic no DQ main event. The main difference this time around, however, was that there was no WWE Championship on the line.

In fact, we're not even fully sure why WWE Champion Daniel Bryan wasn't in the live event. Probably contractual or his live event appearances are limited (which is fair, given that WWE will likely play it safe with him).

Either way, title or not, the fans in Mexico City went absolutely wild for Styles in the epic match-up. In fact, if you look at the tweet above, you'll notice that after Styles broke the kendo stick on Joe's back, he flung it away and it actually hit the cameraman! Obviously, that was unintentional and hopefully the cameraman didn't get hurt.

Mexico City proved to be the house that AJ Styles built as well, as he defeated Joe and sent the crowd home happy.
