It has been quite a while since Liv Morgan defended her Women's World Championship. The title was not on the line during the last two Premium Events (Crown Jewel and Survivor Series: WarGames).
Morgan will defend her Women's World Championship a week from now when she takes on IYO SKY at Saturday Night's Main Event.
The former Women's Tag Team Champion and leader of Damage CTRL won a Battle Royal a few weeks ago to become the #1 contender for the Women's World Title, aiming to claim her first title since WrestleMania 40. Still, she enters this match as the underdog.

Liv Morgan is advertised for Elimination Chamber
WWE released an updated promotional poster for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, which will take place on March 1, and the reigning Women's World Champion is featured in it.
This could hint that she will continue to carry the title through at least the early premium live events of 2025 (Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania 41).
Having her on the promotional roster could mean that WWE plans to have Liv defend her title against five other women at Elimination Chamber.
She has done a great job as a heel and Women's World Champion
It wouldn't make much sense for WWE to have Liv drop her title at Saturday Night's Main Event. The reason is that she has done a tremendous job as a heel since returning from her injury and has emerged as a top star in the Women's Division.
With Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez by her side and Rhea Ripley still seeking revenge, the expectation is that she will not lose the title soon, as her current storylines are not over yet.
Her rivalry with Rhea Ripley is far from over
The rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan started earlier in the year and could last through WrestleMania 41. The two megastars fought at Bad Blood, and their respective teams collided at Surivor Series in a WarGames Match.
Rhea has yet to get another title opportunity, as she has targeted both Liv and Raquel. But this should happen at some point in January - February, like the RAW premiere on Netflix on January 6 or the Royal Rumble on February 1.
As The Eradicator aims to dethrone Liv Morgan and re-claim the title she never lost, if Liv drops her title to IYO SKY, then WWE will need to end the feud abruptly since the championship will no longer be on the line. This means that if Liv Morgan is to lose her title, Rhea Ripley will be the one to defeat her.
