WWE might have confirmed the return of a 9-time champion in the company. The superstar in question is Becky Lynch.

The company listed her amongst the list of superstars slated to be present at a WWE media event at Netflix Headquarters in Los Angeles. Becky's name was there alongside superstars like Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, and others.

Further, Fightful Select and PW Insider confirmed that The Man was present at the event. This also reaffirms the speculations of The Man returning to the Stamford-based promotion when RAW moves to Netflix next year from January 6, 2024.

Becky Lynch was last seen in WWE on the May 27 edition of RAW when she lost the steel cage match against Liv Morgan after Dominik Mysterio caused an outside interference. On June 1, her contract with the company expired, and she didn't renew it. On her Instagram, she wrote, "To be continued," hinting at her return in the future.

The former WWE Women's World Champion might have been told of the plans to return by January when RAW would move to the global streaming giant. The Man lost her title to Morgan at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring on May 25, and it was due to Dominik Mysterio unintentionally helping Morgan beat Lynch. On a following RAW, Dominik ended up helping Morgan once again against Lynch. Becky recently referenced her return while talking about Dominik playing the spoiler.

While speaking at the Vulture Festival in Hollywood on November 17, the 37-year-old superstar said that she's not going to go out with Dominik slamming a door in her face:

“If you think I’m gonna go out with Dominik Mysterio slamming a door in my face that’s not gonna happen," Becky said. [H/T: ITR Wrestling]

Liv Morgan said she retired Becky Lynch from WWE

The current Women's World Champion has already planted seeds for renewing her rivalry with Becky Lynch. While speaking on The Big Show with Rusic and Rose two months ago, Morgan had said that she single-handedly retired Becky Lynch:

"I'm so happy and I'm so proud. I'm just trying to enjoy it all and do everything justice. Two time world champion. Two-time tag team champion. Money in the Bank winner. I single-handedly retired Becky Lynch. I'm the only person to defeat Rhea Ripley in the last two years, and I have Daddy Dom. I'm a very very very happy girl," Morgan said. [H/T: Fightful Select]

Morgan has already defended her title against Rhea Ripley twice. Her next opponent is IYO SKY whom The Miracle Kid would face in a title match at Saturday Night Main Event PLE on December 14.

By the time she gets over with SKY, retaining her title, Becky Lynch might return to the Stamford-based promotion challenging her for the title once again. It remains to be seen if Becky Lynch will return on January 6, 2024.
