The beginning of WWE’s Netflix era comes closer as 2024 nears its end. Fans are already expecting the superstars of RAW to be on the debut episode on the streaming platform.

Interestingly, however, the company recently dropped a subtle hint that the Attitude Era’s legend, The Rock, will also be on the show.

WWE directly showed The Rock while talking about the Netflix move

The feud between CM Punk and Seth Rollins was one of the most anticipated ones to make it to WWE’s inaugural episode on Netflix.

This week, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed that the two sworn enemies will finally clash officially on January 6, 2025. While he was giving these details, The Rock’s trailer was visible in the background.

This wasn’t unintentional, as The Final Boss performed on SmackDown during weekly programming leading up to WrestleMania XL. Thus, fans can expect to possibly see The Most Electrifying Man in all of Sports Entertainment at one of WWE’s biggest historical moments.

The Rock could pick things up where he left it with Cody Rhodes

The Rock has a lot of unfinished business with Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare successfully ended the 1316-day run of Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion despite The Final Boss trying to prevent it from happening. However, despite winning the Bloodline Rules advantage against Rhodes, he failed to achieve his goal.

On the other hand, the inaugural men’s Crown Jewel Champion could never overcome The Final Boss. The Brahma Bull successfully got Rhodes’ blood on his belt and defeated him in tag team action, where The Rock and Roman Reigns won against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes.

Thus, Triple H and his team could bring this fiery feud back into focus on its Netflix debut.

The Rock could attack Roman Reigns

Most fans want to see Roman Reigns be a part of WWE’s Netflix debut. This would be an interesting twist since The Original Tribal Chief performs on the SmackDown brand. However, if The OTC appears on January 6, 2025, the company can have The Rock attack him.

Notably, Reigns earned the dislike of The Final Boss after he teamed up with Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood to defeat Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. The Brahma Bull made a cameo appearance at the end of the premium live event and sent a warning to both The OTC and The American Nightmare.

Thus, the Stamford-based promotion can kickstart the feud between the two men on Netflix to get a big reaction and then move it to SmackDown.

It would be interesting to see if The Great One eventually appears on Netflix to entertain the fans via the company’s historic venture.
