Roman Reigns is set to compete in his first match in almost six months at WWE Bad Blood. He will team up with Cody Rhodes to face The Bloodline duo of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
During the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, archrivals Reigns and Rhodes came face-to-face ahead of their temporary alliance at Bad Blood. In this segment, WWE may have subtly teased Reigns' next opponent for Crown Jewel in November. This was potentially none other than The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.
Roman Reigns wants the Undisputed WWE Championship
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Roman Reigns assured Cody Rhodes that he would have his back at Bad Blood but made it clear that once it's over, he's coming to reclaim his Undisputed WWE Championship, which he lost to Rhodes at WrestleMania XL.
With Crown Jewel set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, authorities there will likely want to feature Reigns vs. Rhodes Part III - a defining rivalry of the current era. This matchup is a strong possibility if Rhodes and Reigns manage to overcome The Bloodline at Bad Blood.
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel could set up major match for Survivor Series
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes is arguably the biggest match the company can offer right now, making it the perfect main event for Crown Jewel. If Reigns and Rhodes manage to defeat The Bloodline at Bad Blood, the next logical step would be for them to settle their differences once and for all in Saudi Arabia for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
However, there could be a major twist. Solo Sikoa and the rest of The Bloodline could interfere, costing Roman Reigns the win, much like what The OTC did during Solo's match against Rhodes at SummerSlam for the title.
This finish could then set up a massive storyline heading into Survivor Series, potentially leading to the culmination of The Bloodline Civil War at Survivor Series: War Games.
Who could join forces with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series: War Games?
If Roman Reigns plans to take on the entire Bloodline, consisting of Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, he'll need strong allies by his side.
One possible strategy would be for Reigns to make amends with former Bloodline members Jey Uso and Sami Zayn, both of whom are currently on Monday Night RAW. Adding a returning Jimmy Uso on SmackDown would perfectly round out the team. This would set the stage for an epic four vs. four War Games match at the highly anticipated Survivor Series event in Vancouver, Canada.
