The Rock stunned the WWE Universe as he returned at the end of the Bad Blood Premium Live Event while the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns were celebrating their victory over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline. Jimmy Uso, who had returned to action during the main event, was in the ring too.
The Final Boss had a face-off with both The Original Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare before leaving the stage, setting the tone for a blockbuster match in one of the coming PLEs, most likely WrestleMania 41.
It appears that the original plan was for a Roman Reigns vs. The Rock Match at The Grandest Stage of Them All, but based on a change WWE made to its Bad Blood highlights, this might not be the case.
WWE changed the caption on The Rock's return

WWE's video caption on The Rock's return was initially "Stares at Roman Reigns," but they shifted to "Stares at everyone" hours later, hinting at a possible Triple-Threat Match at 'Mania.
Following the partnership between Reigns and Rhodes at Bad Blood, The Final Boss is expected to target both megastars, as he is seemingly set to take over The Bloodline and become the faction's leader.
Thus, it would make sense for WWE to go down that way and settle The Bloodline civil war with a Triple-Threat Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
WWE could end Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes rivalry
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have now faced each other for the Undisputed WWE Championship in two straight WrestleManias - 39 and 40.
As Reigns has made it clear that he will go after The American Nightmare for the title, WWE could settle the rivalry by having part three at WrestleMania 41.
Still, the WWE legend's presence in the match could pave the way for matches against Rhodes and Reigns in the future, which WWE has already teased.
It could move Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock blockbuster match to a future PLE
The Rock has made his intentions clear that he will continue his rivalry with Cody Rhodes and will go after him and the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Seeing as how this rivalry is far from over, a Triple-Threat Match at 'Mania will allow WWE to extend the rivalry and move a one-on-one match to a future premium live event, such as SummerSlam in August 2025.
In addition to that, it could keep the door open for a blockbuster match between The Final Boss and The Original Tribal Chief at WrestleMania 42 in 2026.
