YouTube Channel The Great Big Story recently had a sitdown with the man who crowns WWE’s mightiest stars – Dave Millican, the man has been crafting belts that have graced the waists of some of the franchise’s top talent for over two decades, reports wrestlinginc.com.
In the business of belt making since the age of 12, Millican crafted his first belt at the age on 13, which he describes as a ‘disaster’. Millican is a huge wrestling fan and learned the tricks of the trade from Reggie Parks , who was WWF’s official belt maker before him.

Parks acted as a mentor to the young Millican, who is extremely grateful for the recognition the former helped him get. Dave has certainly come a long way since carving belts out of cardboard boxes, and now uses all the metals possible to add to prestige of those who earn his handiwork.
Of course the crafting of belts is an extremely tedious process, with some taking as much as a year to make before they’re perfect. The demanding effort of belt making has had no effect on Millican, who stated that the number of belts he has made runs into the thousands.
Dave, who makes belts for franchises like UFC, Ring Of Honour, etc, states that choosing his favourite belt would be like picking his favourite child.
