WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 30 May, 2016

Cena returns

This week’s Monday night Raw comes along with a lot of expectations. Why? Because WWE made a huge announcement past week and along with that, we have a huge return in the form of John Cena. The combined effect of these two is guaranteed to give us a memorable episode of the longest running weekly television show.

However, these are not the only reasons why you should be excited about Raw. There are some interesting storylines also being brewed by the company throughout their roster and here are the possible angles that WWE could bring up this week.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Titus to get a shot?

Finally?

Rusev became the United States Champion at Extreme Rules after almost breaking Kalisto in half. Having the title back on him was a great decision from WWE as it brings back the Bulgarian Brute into the limelight. But from the looks of it, WWE has something better planned for the United States Championship.

We might get to see a feud between Titus O’Neil and Rusev for the title and seeing Titus finally get his shot could be the best part about this. There is also a rumor going around suggesting that Cena is returning to take the title from Rusev, and we’ll discuss that in an another slide and shine the limelight on Titus for this one.

Future of Charlotte and Dana

Can he get a new angle?

Charlotte made a huge turn in her career last week when she cut her ties with Ric Flair. While the split of Flair and Charlotte was a great thing for Charlotte as it would allow her to have a career by herself rather than being in her father’s shadows. But at the same time, not having an experienced performer like Flair on television is a loss for WWE.

WWE could find a new angle for Flair and at the same time, they could build up the association of Charlotte and Dana on the other side without these two parties crossing their paths.

The Return of Cena

Ready for this?

The major talking point of this week’s Raw will hands down be the return of John Cena. The absence of Cena has been a major blow for WWE throughout the WrestleMania season and his return is going to boost matters for sure. There are a lot of rumors making rounds about how WWE is going to use Cena this week.

The most prominent among them would be the rumor which suggests that Cena will win the United States championship from Rusev. Rusev only recently won the title from Kalisto and it would be a shame if he loses so early. Another rumor suggests that Cena could fill the last spot in the Money in the Bank match.

Last Money in the Bank spot

Will he be the surprise?

Money in the Bank is the next major stop for WWE and they have already sowed some interesting seeds for the pay-per-view. One among that is the line-up for the Money in the Bank match. Six superstars have qualified for the same so far and only one place is up for grabs right now. It would be interesting to see who will join the likes of Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Dean Ambrose, Sami Zayn, and Alberto Del Rio in the match.

Will we see a debuting superstar from NXT? Or will it be a superstar returning from injury like Randy Orton? or it could well be John Cena, who needs and angle upon his return.

Taking forward the story

Exciting plans for Seth

Seth Rollins triumphantly returned to WWE programming last week and to the surprise of many fans, Rollins is still apparently a heel performer. He made his intentions clear and got himself a match with Roman Reigns for the WWE championship at Money in the Bank.

The decision was well met by the WWE fans and it’s safe to say that everyone is excited to see Reigns and Rollins go at it. But there is still a lot of work to be done by the WWE creative. They need to have some interesting angles involving Reigns and Rollins and all of it could have a start at this week’s Monday Night Raw.
