WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 31st October 2016

And New

The much-awaited Hell in a Cell is finally in the books and we are now officially on the road to Survivor Series. As far as Hell in a Cell was concerned, the show gave what most fans wanted; the women headlining. This was perhaps the only thing that most fans desperately wanted and fortunately, WWE did just that.

The fans were left happy once the show went off-air and this serves as a good platform for WWE to build up their Survivor Series storylines. While the fallout of Hell in a Cell is one thing, there are a handful of other factors as well, which make this week’s Raw interesting. And in this list, we are going to take a look at them one by one.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5: Halloween with Goldberg

Back for Halloween

The Halloween edition of Raw will have all the things mentioned earlier in this slide, but one of the biggest attractions of the night would be Goldberg. After his epic return a couple of weeks back, Goldberg will be back on the flagship show this week.

And the difference between his last appearance and current appearance is that WWE has now made the match official for Survivor Series. A Lesnar – Goldberg showdown would be a long shot but what evokes curiosity is the possible ways in which WWE could book Goldberg.

Will WWE feed him some jobber (Titus O’Neil,Golden Truth, Mark Henry and The Shining Stars are some of the names that come to mind) to destroy or will Goldberg simply come in and deliver a promo. We’ll have to watch and find out.

#4: Next challenge for Roman Reigns

What’s next for Reigns?

The Hell in a cell stipulation is known for ending feuds and apparently, the Roman Reigns vs. Rusev feud is wrapped up after what happened on Sunday Night. Reigns would need a new challenge for Survivor Series and WWE would be looking to give him just that this week on Monday Night Raw.

While there is still a possibility of Reigns vs. Rusev feud being stretched to Survivor Series considering the inconsistent booking that WWE has been doing lately, a new feud seems more likely after what Reigns said on Raw Talk. The question would be: who will Reigns lock horns with next?

#3: The man with a plan

One of the biggest winners of Hell in a Cell was Brian Kendrick. The veteran went home with the Cruiserweight championship by defeating TJ Perkins and the title change has shaken things up in the division. Both TJ and Kendrick have reversed roles after Sunday and TJ has already said that he would get the gold back soon.

The problem with this feud, however, is the lack of a new contender. The Cruiserweight division still does not have a credible character apart from these two and WWE needs to address the same soon. When TJ and Kendrick are done with their story, someone needs to step in and the fans should be able to recognise him.

#2: Best friends do it again

Owens needed help from Jericho again

Seth Rollins was screwed over by Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho once again at Hell in a Cell. Though this was expected to an extent, it was a turn off for most fans. The Jericho – Owens pairing still continues to excel but at the same time, the way in which WWE treats their Universal champion is questionable.

First of all, Owens was relegated to the mid-card, secondly, he came out first in the championship match and thirdly, he needed a huge help from Jericho. Owens retained the title nevertheless but his feud with Rollins seems far from over.

But bringing out new things for the storyline would be a major headache for WWE as they have already rolled out a string of segments.

#1: The queen is back

The queen returns

Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte was what a good portion of the WWE fans talked about last night. The women headlined the show and made history but the ending left most fans disappointed. The ending seemed like it came out of nowhere and Sasha losing was another disappointment.

Charlotte, however, is now a three-time Raw Women’s champion and the new title reign is bound to be a major talking point this week on Raw. Whether or not the feud will continue is another big question that needs to be answered on Monday Night.

Nia Jax and Bayley are the immediate contenders that could get a rub if WWE is indeed going to include a new name, and this is bound to make matters more interesting.
