It’s not every day that you see the WrestleMania match card shape up from the after effects of a single Raw. Well if you thought last week’s Raw was something like that, well think again. The only match that we could make out from last week was the Undertaker- Brock Lesnar one with others involving Daniel Bryan, Triple H, Shield, Batista, Orton all hanging in the limbo.
With Orton and Batista having the least heat possible from the crowd, the writers have started to dismantle the possible matches and make necessary moves which were visible at SmackDown. Shield’s breakup angle also seems to be delayed at the moment giving the fans a lot to feed their curious mind with.
Amidst of all these chaotic confusions and a particular burning question, the WWE will bring the latest edition of Raw from Chicago on Monday. They will be in a desperate situation to keep the fans silent in the red hot hometown of CM Punk, so let’s take a look at what all developments could take place at this week’s WWE Raw.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Heel Animal
In what proved to be the latest attempt of the writers to give some heat for the WrestleMania main event, Batista was seen showing shades of a heel turn last week on SmackDown.
Though it doesn’t make any sense making Batista heel and putting him against an already heel Orton at WrestleMania, this is the only direction that Batista could take if he doesn’t want to make himself a fool in the company.
Even the crowd at NXT were chanting “worse than Batista”, “Better than Batista” to categorize the matches they saw, incidents like this calls out the need for the writers to change Batista’s alignment and the match against Ziggler was the start.
This week’s Raw will give some more ingredients to a heelish Batista but one thing that should be sorted out is that, does this make Orton heel? Or is the WWE looking to add Bryan into the match? Raw probably will have all the answers.
Inception of a War
Undertaker made his much anticipated return back to WWE last week when he gave Lesnar a ride through the table. The two will face off at WrestleMania with the streak on the line but till then what will keep the fans on the edge of their seats will be the buildup to the match.
Arguably the best microphone worker in the company, Paul Heyman’s involvement will give a great push for the inception of this war as he would give the last ounce of his energy to taunt Taker. Coupling with this will be the dominance of Brock Lesnar and supernatural charisma of Undertaker.
It’s a deadly combination to look forward to and more or less the possibility of an added stipulation to the match makes it more intriguing.
Keep a good eye on this one, because those who love to see Undertaker on Television is not going to get another chance till next WrestleMania with the same going for Lesnar as well.
Shield vs. Wyatt Family 2.0
Apparently the WWE is milking out a plethora of heat from this rivalry and is delaying the impending break down of the Shield.
Though last week, Dean Ambrose walked out from the faction, he soon returned to be projected as a face when he ran out to the aid of his teammates. Being pitted up against the top heels in the company is making the Shield look like a face stable which could work well if the writers are planning to make a spilt at WrestleMania.
Reigns and Rollins clearly seems to be heading to that way post-split up while Ambrose still have a lot of things to sort out. Another match with the Wyatts will clearly be another great treat for the fans as these six men are clearly the future of the WWE.
Subplot of the shield’s friction will give it more dimensions as usual with the minor possibility of Cena’s involvement making it worth the wait.
The Game’s answer
After facing Kane almost 4 times in the span of two weeks, Daniel Bryan finally made it clear that he wants to take on the employer rather than dispatching a mere employee on a regular basis.
The crowd was well behind Bryan as usual when he called out Triple H last week, giving the Game no other option than to address the situation this week. A challenge rejection will is the most likely and the best for business thing to do. However with the confused state the creative is in, we never know.
A confrontation between Triple H and Daniel Bryan is sure to happen on the squared circle with Bryan making all the efforts to make Triple H lift his arm.
The creative however needs to be a bit careful on this one as they wouldn’t want to make Bryan look like a villain by making him attack Stephanie McMahon just to make everyone think that he is going the limit to get Triple H.
Kane’s involvement and the way how in which he will be booked is the subplot in this one as WWE needs to give some new direction for the monster since he is no match for Bryan at WrestleMania.
Punks of Chicago
When CM Punk left the company, the biggest headache the creative had was the way in which they had to book WrestleMania without him. Though they still struggle with that one and tried to fill the crack with Daniel Bryan, one thing they simply cannot avoid this week will be the hostile crowd that will be waiting for them at Chicago.
Owing to the negative reactions that the company has been getting from the WWE universe in recent history, the one that they will get at Chicago will be monumental.
They will have to bring out Bryan, Taker, Shield and some other big names more than once to keep the fans distracted because a Raw ruined by fans is the last thing that Vince McMahon want before WrestleMania.
But the most interesting thing that could happen at Chicago is the presence of Punk at Raw. Be it in the crowd of be it a big return, Punk is going to blow the roof off this week if he makes an appearance. With the WWE you never know.
