2) Only one WWE Superstar has cashed in their Money in the Bank briefcase during a match
Most WWE Money in the Bank winners have either cashed-in on their guaranteed opportunity after the current champion has been in a match, or "called their shot" and used their briefcase to schedule a championship bout at a later date. However, there is only one man who has used his briefcase during an ongoing match - Seth Rollins.
At WrestleMania 31, The Architect cashed-in during the the main event as Roman Reigns was in the middle of an intense battle with then WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Rollins had lost earlier in the show to Randy Orton, making most fans consider him a nonfactor for the rest of the evening. As both Reigns and Lesnar lay exhausted on the ground, Rollin's theme music hit and the former Shield member sprinted to the ring to insert himself into the match.
After a sequence that included Rollins being inadvertently saved by Reigns from an F-5, after the Big Dog speared the living daylight out of Lesnar, Rollins would eventually set Reigns up for Curb Stomp and complete the "Heist of the Century". Thus winning his first WWE Championship in the process.
To this day, many fans will say that this cash-in is one of the most unexpected and exciting cash-ins in WWE history.
