Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge - Universal Championship match at Money in the Bank (contd...)
Reigns pounded on Edge in the ring at Money in The Bank and taunted him for trying to challenge the champ before locking in a headlock. Edge fought out of the hold but took an uppercut and a drive-by on the apron.
Edge came back and nearly pinned Reigns off the Edge-o-Matic and then the Edgecution but failed to get the pin. The Rated-R Superstar locked in a crossface but Roman got to the bottom rope.

Reigns tried for the guillotine before missing a spear and going through the barricades. Edge then speared him through the barricades. Edge dragged Roman into the ring but Reigns still managed to kick out.
Reigns hit a Superman Punch but Edge went into the official, taking him out. Roman broke off the spike from the chair and tried to lock in a hold with it but Edge reversed it and applied his signature submission move.
The Usos tried to interfere but The Mysterios came in and dragged them out. Edge had the hold locked in for good but Seth Rollins came out and kicked The Rated-R Superstar in the head.
Roman recovered and set up for the finish before Edge got the spear and a new official came out but Roman kicked out. Reigns hit a spear off another distraction from Rollins and picked up the win at Money In The Bank!
Result: Roman Reigns def. Edge to retain the Universal Championship
Rollins and Reigns were staring each other down in the ring when Edge attacked Seth and dragged him through the crowd. Roman said now the whole world had to acknowledge him when John Cena's music hit and he walked out at Money In The Bank.
The show ended with Cena's entrance, teasing a future feud with the Tribal Chief.

A great pay-per-view return for WWE in front of a live audience. Money in the Bank saw multiple title changes and two very unexpected MITB contract winners. Flair and Ripley had an intense bout and the men's MITB ladder match was one of the better ones from this generation.
