MITB 2013 was going to be special, and the realization came the moment this match started. Starting the PPV with this match made it clear to everyone that WWE wasn’t going to make this just another PPV. The match, despite not having big names in it, managed to give us one of the best ladder matches of all time.
The six upcoming stars gave us a peek into the company’s future and frankly, I am looking forward to seeing each one of them in the top roster in the years to come.
This match had several great moments that included Fandango’s powerbomb from the top of the ladder to Rhodes pushing Ambrose over the other wrestlers from the ladder. Every wrestler contributed a great deal to making this match a treat to the eye.
The Shield interfered, only to be stopped by the Usos, indicating the continuation of their feud and finally Sandow betrayed his own best friend Cody Rhodes as he pushed him away from the ladder to steal the briefcase.
