It took a win for Cena to finally stretch his arm for a handshake. It took a win to see Cena respect Owens. So, it would have been quite a bummer if Owens had shook the US Champion’s hand.

And that’s why it was a welcome sight to see Owens not give a darn about Cena’s sign of respect. He kicked Cena in the guts and pop-up powerbombed him to the ring apron and walked off laughing maniacally holding both the NXT and US Championship.

This match was already too good to be true but what made it great was the audience’s reaction to everything they did inside the squared circle. The storyline was interesting and so are both these characters.

It was a big match atmosphere, the excitement for which could be heard with the ‘Fight Owens Fight’ chants or the ‘NXT’ chants. Whether it was singing ‘John Cena Sucks’ or just plain chanting ‘This Is Awesome’ so many times, this crowd was the definition of electric.
