WWE Money in the Bank 2017: 5 Surprises we could see at Money in the Bank

What surprises could we see this coming Sunday at Money in the Bank?

#1 Rusev gets involved in the WWE championship match

Could we see a surprise appearance by the Bulgarian Brute?

He was undefeated until he faced John Cena at Wrestlemania for the United States championship. Since then, Rusev has undergone a number of different booking directions. He was in the short-lived League of Nations, he worked alongside Jinder Mahal and even recaptured the United States championship.

Since a recent injury that occurred while he was still on Raw, Rusev has been off of television. However, he is now set to return as part of the Smackdown Live brand. The question is, when will he return, and what is in store for him?

A few weeks back, Rusev made his intentions clear when he said that the only way he would return is if he is given a WWE Championship opportunity. However, that opportunity is yet to materialise, and neither has Rusev.

One idea would be for Rusev to get involved in the WWE Championship match at Money In the Bank. Rusev’s perspective could be, ‘if they are going to ignore me, then I will give them no other choice but to pay attention’. Rusev's involvement could potentially jeopardise the match, infuriating Shane McMahon in the process.
