The WWE Universe was left scratching their heads when the two final matches were announced for the show, but the fact that Cesaro and Sheamus were once part of a tag team together called The Bar meant that there could have been a reason for his match with Jeff Hardy.
Friday night on SmackDown, Hardy was able to overcome Sheamus' attempt to attack him upon his return and it was thought that this was just the beginning of a feud between the two men.

Cesaro stepping up to face Hardy and then to have Sheamus come out and the two men deliver a double team move on the Charismatic Enigma would have been perfect, but it didn't happen.
Instead, Cesaro went into the battle for his friend and was defeated by Hardy following a Swanton Bomb and there was no sign of The Celtic Warrior. Sheamus wasn't a part of the ladder match either, which raises the question of whether or not WWE will now continue the feud between Hardy and Sheamus on SmackDown.
