The build-up to the feud between the two Wyatt Family members has highly revolved around Strowman once being one of Bray Wyatt's followers, only to leave him and go on to explore a singles career. On the go-home show of SmackDown before Money in the Bank, we saw how Bray asked Braun to join him again by showing him the black sheep mask. Not just Bray, but all his friends and puppets inside the Firefly Fun House tried to persuade Braun, unfortunately in a failed attempt.

During the ending moments of the segment, Bray could be heard saying - "I tried Braun, I tried I'm sorry." There have been numerous theories about who is controlling the entire act inside the Firefly Fun House. Is it Bray Wyatt or The Fiend? Or is it someone entirely different and Bray and The Fiend are its "puppets"?
