Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE television for almost a year, with his last appearance being SummerSlam 2023 where he lost against Cody Rhodes. However, the Stamford-based promotion may need the presence of The Beast quite soon.
Brock Lesnar was rumored to return at Royal Rumble 2024, having last performed at SummerSlam 2023. However, The Beast Incarnate's return may have been halted after being linked with Vince McMahon's lawsuit. Although it was speculated that he might have already been fired from the Stamford-based promotion, Triple H clarified that Lesnar is still signed. With this in mind, there are a few reasons why the former champion should return to the company this year.
Give Brock Lesnar a last run under Triple H's management
In 2020, Brock revealed that he was already set to retire from WWE after being defeated by Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. However, he returned at the following year's SummerSlam to start his feud against Roman Reigns.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Lesnar has since competed in the following years, but he hasn't experienced being booked under the TKO banner when Triple H is already fully in charge. With this in mind, The Beast should have at least one run under the new management to finally close out his illustrious career.
Help put over new talent on the main roster and NXT
Brock Lesnar has been compared with several current stars, one of them is RAW star Bron Breakker. However, another emerging powerhouse from NXT is Oba Femi. Since The Beast's career seems to be close to ending, he could use his return as a way to pass the torch to other younger stars.
Aside from passing the torch, stars like Bron and Oba could benefit from sharing the ring with a superstar like Lesnar. It will also be a good way to give them a bigger platform and introduce them to a new audience through Brock.
The main roster may need more star attraction after a major star announced his retirement
A few months ago, John Cena announced that he would have his retirement tour from in-ring competition in 2025. Due to this, the Stamford-based promotion may need to stack up on its veteran and mainstream stars.
Although WWE still has names like Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and more, the company will lack a major mainstream name once The Cenation Leader leaves. With this in mind, Brock Lesnar should be around for a bit more after John's retirement, possibly until 2026 when the dust has settled regarding John's retirement.
