WWE Network is a video streaming service created and owned by WWE. It has been the home to all the programming of pro-wrestling promotion in various countries throughout the world. In addition to PPVs and weekly episodes, it also distributes films, television, documentary series, interviews, and other entertainment media centered around its wrestlers. It also includes 24-hour channel programming.
It is available worldwide select for a few countries. Peacock TV is the home for WWE content in the USA and the network is not accessible anymore in the country. Likewise, a few other countries have access to the WWE library via other apps.
History of the WWE Network
Launch of the Network
The plans to create a dedicated network for the programming were announced in 2011. The company conducted a survey amongst the fans regarding their interest in such a possible service. In addition to RAW and SmackDown, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), XFL, Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW), American Wrestling Association (AWA), and WWE films were also promoted to be a part of service in the survey.
The plans to launch the network in 2012 were postponed and kept on delaying until its eventual release two years later. The Network was first launched on February 24, 2014, in the United States. It was subsequently made available in Canada in July and in European and Asian countries beginning in August.
The merger with Peacock TV & other distributors
NBCUniversal Television and Streaming acquired the exclusive WWE Network distribution rights in the United States in January 2021. WWE further announced that the WWE Network would be merged into NBC’s own streaming service Peacock TV. The network is inoperative in the country and all the content has been shifted to Peacock TV steadily ever since its launch. In addition to Peacock TV, WWE also has tie-ups with various other distributors throughout the world to stream its content in other countries.

Notable programming
WWE Network is the home to all the WWE premium live events/pay-per-views and all network exclusive events. It also features the pre-show for any pay-per-view. NXT Level Up and WWE Main Event are also two of the current programs that air on the network. WWE Raw Talk and WWE Talking Smack are two weekly post-shows that air on the network after Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown respectively. WWE Beyond The Ring, WWE 24, and WWE 365 are some of the documentary show that air on the network.
Current popular podcasts on the network include WWE Watch Along starring Pat McAfee and Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions. WWE Evil is one of the most popular programs aired on the network in the past few years.
