Bret Hart in a legal tussle with WWE over Stampede footage, more

The Boss and the legendary Bret Hart in 2005

It was recently noted that there was a small internal issue in the company involving Bret Hart. Recently, the WWE Network released a video series involving stampede videos featuring Bret Hart.

It turns out that the rights for the same are with Bret Hart but due to a miscommunication, the Network went ahead to release the videos without consulting Bret. As per the reports, Bret's parents gave the rights to the content to him, before they passed.

Later, Bret found out the same on Twitter and immediately contacted WWE's Mark Carrano, The Wrestling Newsletter noted. Mark responded to Bret by saying that WWE owned the rights for the same after a deal with Ross Hart and Bruce.

Bret then contacted Vince McMahon regarding this issue and also spoke Scott Amann, WWE attorney and talked about the issues if the content is not removed. Bret went ahead to show Vince the agreement signed between Ross and WWE which confirms that the ownership of the video rests with Bret.

Vince asked the Network to remove all the related content until they get a confirmation on this. WWE Network has now removed the content. When this will be added back is still unknown.
