According to WWE.com and the social media sites of WWE, current United States Champion, AJ Styles will be in action next week against Cedric Alexander when RAW heads to the Madison Square Garden for a highly awaited edition of WWE's flagship show.
AJ Styles and The O.C's rise in WWE
Earlier in the year, AJ Styles reunited with his former Bullet Club stablemates Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, as the trio reunited The Club and renamed the faction as The O.C. Upon their reunion, Styles once again turned heel when attacked Ricochet on an episode of RAW with the help of Anderson and Gallows.
At this year's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Styles won the US Championship for the third time by defeating Ricochet. On the other hand, Gallows and Anderson also captured the RAW Tag Team Titles in a three-way match involving The Usos and The Revival. However, on August 19th, the O.C pair would go on to lose the tag titles to Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins.
AJ Styles vs Cedric Alexander set for RAW
As seen on last week's episode of RAW, AJ Styles and The O.C. ran absolute roughshod through the red brand as the three men (with a little assistance from Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler) took down Strowman and Rollins. And, moments later, Styles and his stablemates would brutally assault Alexander backstage, prior to his King of the Ring Qualifying Match against Baron Corbin.
The O.C's attack eventually led to Alexander being eliminated from the KOTR Tournament and in order to acquire revenge on 'The Phenomenal One', WWE has now confirmed a match between the Styles and Alexander in a non-title rematch for next week's edition of RAW.
RAW returns to MSG
Monday Night RAW will be returning to The Garden this Monday and so far, WWE has confirmed several exciting matches for the show including the return of Rey Mysterio, who is set to go one-on-one against Gran Metalik.
