The heart of the matter

Booker T is taking action against Activision for using his likeness and the persona he once portrayed in WCW and during his early wrestling career, "G.I. Bro". As reported originally by The Verge, Booker T is accusing the company of directly copying his full likeness and persona for the hit video game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with the character of David "Prophet" Wilkes, baring a striking resemblance to his character.

Here is the picture posted below by Booker T. for comparison. You can undoubtedly see where the uncanny resemblance between the two lies.

The complaint focuses directly on the similarities, where Booker T feels the company could've drawn up their own design or used any other inspiration of the character, but instead chose to directly copy from his old wrestling and comic book persona.

“They could have drawn him any way they wanted. But they chose to steal Booker T’s ‘G. I. Bro."

What's next?

Booker T continues to make appearances for the WWE as a guest commentator on Monday Night RAW from time to time to fill in when needed. He is also a regular on all WWE kickoff shows for each pay-per-view.

Do you think Booker T. is in the right to pursue legal action against Activision or is he overreacting? Let us know in the comments below.
