WWE News: Adam Cole opens up about his friendship with Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly and Kevin Owens

What’s the story?

While recently speaking with Benjamin Raven of MLive.com, WWE NXT Superstar and former three-time Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole talked about his long-term friendship—both on and off screen—with his fellow NXT colleagues Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.

In case you didn’t know…

Prior to signing with the WWE, Adam Cole made a huge name for himself all over the Independent scene and countries such as Japan and the United States of America, after working for promotions such as Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Combat Zone Wrestling, Evolve Wrestling and more.

Throughout his entire wrestling career, Adam Cole had a pretty rich history with both Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Both Cole and O’Reilly were previously part of a tag team called Future Shock, whereas, on the other hand, the duo of Fish and O’Reilly were infamously known as ReDragon during their time in ROH and NJPW.

Cole, who was previously affiliated with the Bullet Club, marked his arrival in the WWE at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III in 2017 when he attacked newly crowned NXT Champion Drew McIntyre, along with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly and thus formed the group called The Undisputed Era.

The heart of the matter

When asked about his relationship with Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, Adam Cole stated that he hates to sound cliché but according to him, the only thing cooler than living his dream right now is doing it along with his friends; claiming that he, Fish and O’Reilly are closer than ever in real life, then they are usually on television.

Additionally, Cole also stated that he has a pretty strong bond with former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and current WWE Champion AJ Styles, with whom Cole has previously shared the locker room with on the Independent scene.

Furthermore, Cole also opened up about his relationship with Kevin Owens, who was in the front row the night Cole made his WWE debut, as the former PWG World Champion said that Owens is someone who has always been supportive to him in his journey to the top and to see the former Universal Champion support him in his first night in the WWE was awesome.

“To have him there to support me was awesome. Talk about another friendship that will never go away.”

What’s next?

Currently being the leader of The Undisputed Era, Adam Cole is a man who is absolutely determined to lead his faction from the front and eventually capture the NXT Championship for himself. Meanwhile, Cole’s stablemates, O’Reilly and Fish are currently holding the NXT Tag Team Titles.

I’ve been following Adam Cole’s career for a long period of time now and to see him make to the WWE from PWG, along with the likes of Fish, O’Reilly, and Kevin Owens is absolutely amazing.
