What’s the story?
At a promotional event for her new book, former WWE Superstar AJ Lee reunited with her stablemate Big E.
In case you didn’t know...
AJ Lee is a former 3-time WWE Divas champion who performed on the company’s main roster from 2011 until her retirement from the sport in 2015.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Lee and Big E (Ettore Ewen) were part of a stable that saw the former in a kayfabe relationship with fellow WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler, with Big E acting as the muscle of the group.
The heart of the matter:
Big E, who is now a part of the popular New Day stable alongside Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, is temporarily on a hiatus from WWE TV programming, owing to an injury to the aforementioned Kingston. The 31-year old former powerlifter recently surprised AJ Lee at her book signings. Check out her Instagram post below-
Here’s the transcript of her post
“officialajmendez #CrazyIsMySuperpower Tour Week 3. You just never know what's gonna happen at these book signings. Last night as I signed my brain baby birthed from my brain womb, I was delighted by the sight of my ACTUAL BABY BOY birthed from my wrestling womb! I was sure he was just going to break my sternum again while demanding the months in child support I owe, but he actually just came to surprise and support me! Like the goddamn marshmallow he is. Thanks @wwebige, I'm the proudest Momma. – AJ”
What’s next?
Lee is presently promoting her autobiography ‘Crazy Is My New Superpower’ – a book that reportedly chronicles her early years, struggles as a child as well as her career as a pro-wrestler. The book opened in the top-10 of The New York Times best seller list.
On the other hand, Big E, who was recently drafted from RAW to SmackDown, will make his SmackDown Live debut in the weeks to come, as soon as his stablemate Kingston recovers from his injury.
Author’s take
Remember when Big E didn’t go all out to sell WWE BOOTY’Os merchandise? Yep. The good old days. In my humble opinion, Big E is better-suited to the role he played with AJ Lee – that of a silent henchman – rather than his current New Day gimmick.
Nevertheless, it’s great to see the big man greet his former co-worker, wishing her the best in her new line of work. God knows how much I’d love for AJ Lee to come back and grace the WWE ring with all her…well, grace and of course, craziness! Crazy Is My Superpower too, AJ!
