AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura IV is added to the Backlash card
Following the conclusion of the WWE Championship rematch between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura at The Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon has seemingly announced yet another rematch between the two men at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view.
As noted, AJ Styles retained the WWE Championship over Nakamura on two different occasions now within the course of this very month—with his first successful defense being at WrestleMania 34—and the second one being at The Greatest Royal Rumble event, when both Styles and Nakamura wrestled each other to an amazing back-and-forth match which ended in a double count-out.
However, as per announced by commentator Michael Cole during the show, Nakamura is now slated to another shot at the WWE Championship, as ‘The King of Strong Style’ gets set to go head-to-head with AJ Styles for the third time this year in a WWE ring.
