WWE News: Alexa Bliss on when she found out about going to Raw, the 80-yard WrestleMania ramp and more

Alexa Bliss praised the SmackDown roster, spoke about being drafted to Raw, and the 80-yard Wrestlemania ramp.

What’s the story?

Alexa Bliss recently spoke to FOX Sports about being drafted to Monday Night Raw, the 80-yard ramp at WrestleMania 33, who she will miss from SmackDown LIVE and more.

In case you didn’t know...

Alexa Bliss (Alexis Kaufman) is a 2-time WWE SmackDown Women’s champion who has now been transferred to the Raw brand after she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 33.

The heart of the matter

Sticking to her previous statements regarding the same, Bliss stated that she had no idea about her draft to Raw until the very last moment.

“I found out pretty much that morning. The night before we got travel, and were going to be able to travel where Raw was. I wasn't sure if they were bringing people in to kind of throw us off or if we were actually being drafted to Raw. It was really cool because I've done a lot on SmackDown and now it gives me the opportunity to see what now I can do on Raw."

She also joked about the WrestleMania ramp being far longer than necessary. She said:

"Oh my gosh, it was so long. So, here's the thing, too - I'm 5-foot, and I'm all torso of my 5-foot. My legs are really short, so everyone of one person's steps is like two of mine. So it took, I felt like, twice as long to get down that ramp. I was just like 'oh my gosh, this thing is so long, I need a golf cart or something to take me down.'"

The 25-year old also revealed that she’d miss her road-trip partner Carmella and their funny road stories, besides all the other girls on the blue brand. Bliss added that the SmackDown main shows, as well as live events, were a lot of fun, and her co-workers were hard-working and funny.

The newly drafted Raw star also praised the Miz and Maryse, stating that she was happy that they moved to Raw alongside her and called them an awesome couple.

What’s next?

Bliss has asserted that she’d like to become the WWE Raw Women’s champion and the fans can expect the WWE to book her in interesting matchups in the weeks to come.

Author’s take

L’il Miss Bliss is a true fireball in virtually every sense of the term and if the huge pop that she got on her entrance this past Monday night on Raw is an indication of anything, the former SmackDown champion will most likely blaze her way to the top in the red brand as well.
