WWE News: Asuka's title picture at WrestleMania revealed?

Women'
Women's Royal Rumble Winner, Asuka

What’s the story?

This week on Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle announced that Asuka will be competing for the Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn't know...

Asuka won the first ever women's Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. She is guaranteed a title shot against a champion of her choice at WrestleMania. After the Rumble match, Asuka was in the ring with SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte and Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss to decide whom she would be facing at WrestleMania. However, Ronda Rousey debuted, stealing the limelight from Asuka, and the decision was never made.

The heart of the matter

This week on Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle made his way to the ring and announced that Alexa Bliss would defend her Raw Women's Championship inside Elimination Chamber against Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Mickie James, Bayley and Sasha Banks.

He also announced another match for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view between 'The Irresistible Force' Nia Jax and 'The Empress of Tomorrow' Asuka, with the stipulation that if Jax beats Asuka at the pay-per-view, she'll be added in the Raw Women's Championship match at WrestleMania, making it a triple threat match between Asuka, Nia Jax and the Raw Women's Champion.

What’s next?

The decision to challenge for the Raw Women's championship is yet to be officially announced by Asuka. The Elimination Chamber pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, 25 February and will be held at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada.

Author’s take

I think that Sasha Banks will be the winner of the Elimination Chamber match, considering her phenomenal performance in the Royal Rumble match, and the match she had on last week's Raw with Asuka. I think a heel turn is planned for Sasha, and she will win the title at Elimination Chamber, igniting a rematch with Asuka at Wrestlemania.

There's a rumor going on that Asuka could announce her decision to challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the Raw after the Elimination Chamber and jump ship to the SmackDown brand. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda and we will keep you updated.
