What's the story?
Bayley was on E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness and the former WWE tag-team champions spoke at great length with the RAW wrestler on a number of topics.
It was Edge who brought up the injury Bayley suffered a few months ago and asked the former RAW women’s champion how it was doing, amongst other things.
Bayley was quick to give an update on the same and further added that she was upset at not being able to wrestle at SummerSlam.

In case you didn't know...
Bayley was the number one contender for the RAW women’s championship and was set to face Alexa Bliss for the title at SummerSlam.
However, she picked up a shoulder injury when facing Nia Jax and was out of action for a number of weeks before making her return in September.
The heart of the matter
Edge asked Bayley how her shoulder was doing during the podcast and the former Women’s champion did point out that it was “good.”
She also stated that she doesn't “notice it while wrestling” but it only bothers her when working out. Edge also added that when he saw Bayley's shoulder hitting the mat, he immediately understood that the injury was going to be something serious.
Bayley also stated that she was worried that the injury was a dislocation but she carried on with the match as her shoulder was just a little stiff before the full extent of the injury was revealed to her.
The former champ also revealed that she cried backstage after learning about her shoulder and that she would be missing out in the SummerSlam clash for the title.
What's next?
Bliss is still the champion on RAW but there are a number of contenders for the title especially with Absolution coming up and Paige could be looking for a shot at the title.
Author's take
Getting injured in the ring is part and parcel of the WWE and unfortunately, it happened to Bayley just when she was getting a push.
The Hugger might have picked up the title from Bliss and gone on to greater things but the important thing is she is back and is doing pretty well inside the ring.
It will be interesting to see just how the title picture clears up in a few weeks on RAW but it does seem unlikely that Bayley would be in the running for Alexa’s championship anytime soon.
