What's the story?
The Bludgeon Brothers had another video promo on SmackDown Live this week. At the end of their promo, their debut date was announced, and it was revealed that they are set to make their debut on SmackDown Live on next week's episode of SmackDown Live.
In case you didn't know...
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have not performed on the WWE’s television programming for quite some time now, despite being active on the blue brand’s live events.
However, over the last few weeks of SmackDown Live, vignettes have aired showing the Harper and Rowan in their brand new Bludgeon Brothers avatar. Harper and Rowan have competed in this avatar in the WWE Live events.
The new avatars are very similar to their Wyatt Family look, changing only their ring gear, as this turns out not to be as complete an overhaul as was first expected.
The heart of the matter
The Bludgeon Brothers' vignette revealed that they will debut their new gimmick on next week's edition of SmackDown Live. This is going to be the first time that Harper and Rowan will be seen on main roster television programming since July.
This also means that the new tag team will not be a part of Survivor Series, as WWE head into the pay-per-view, where SmackDown Live is set to take on Raw to determine which is the 'A' show of WWE.
What's next?
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are set to debut as the Bludgeon Brothers on next week's episode of SmackDown Live.
Author's take
Luke Harper and Eric Rowan were amazing as the Wyatt Family and was one of the strongest tag teams in WWE. The Bludgeon Brothers' ring gear and new look may not have been received well by the WWE fans, but their strength as a tag team ensures they have a big part to play on SmackDown Live.
