Be it in the World Wrestling Entertainment or MMA, Bobby Lashley has gained momentous laurels in both. The last time Lashley graced a WWE ring with his presence was nearly nine years ago, but the stories of his conquests are still talked about to this day. His success was carried over into the world of MMA and he even made a name for himself in TNA Wrestling, rapidly rising up the ranks to the very top.
Lashley has been one of those few names who was able to withstand the test of time after his WWE stint and not sink away into oblivion. He had an impressive streak of wins in his MMA career and has single handedly dominated the TNA Wrestling scene which included the likes of Kurt Angle.
This past week, Lashley made a surprising appearance on the "Ross Report" podcast, hosted by WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross. The TNA heavyweight made a startling revelation when he said that he would welcome the opportunity to work with none other than ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar. He said that he didn’t mind the setting, it could be in the squared circle or in the octagon. He just wants Lesnar.

He said that the chances of it happening in the MMA ring looked slim with him being in Bellator MMA and TNA while Lesnar being involved with UFC and WWE. But if it were to work out, he said that he would be happy to go out and put on a show.
Lashley seemed well aware of the eyes such a matchup would draw. He said that a clash between him and Lesnar would draw big money. Lashley imagined the pop that the two professional wrestlers and MMA fighters would get if they stood face to face against each other at the grandest stage of them all – WrestleMania. He mentioned that the matchup would generate a tremendous amount of money and create some memorable moments for the highlight reels.
Lashley hasn’t been the first one gunning for Lesnar. Of late, a number of superstars have expressed their interest to face the ‘Beast’. Most notable names include, Goldberg who has been looking for a fight almost all summer. Even NXT superstars like Samoa Joe and champion Shinsuke Nakamura expressed their interest in facing Lesnar. While WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens earlier said that he’d love to get in the ring with Brock Lesnar.
However, it is uncertain how WWE commands their resources. As fans, almost every one of these matchups is an exciting idea.
Let us know what you think? Should it be Brock vs. Lashley at WrestleMania? Or would Goldberg vs. Brock part II be a better idea to go along with. Let us know in the comments below!
