What's the story?
Although he's been a fixture of WWE programming over the last few years, Braun Strowman hasn't experienced the main-event success that many would pair him with due to his appeal.
He recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where he revealed he wants to main-event WrestleMania 36 with the Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre.
In case you didn't know...
Strowman debuted as a member of the Wyatt Family. He was originally a heel but his amazing feats of strength and athleticism quickly got the WWE Universe behind him. He has fought Brock Lesnar several times for the Universal Championship but has only a one-day reign as RAW Tag Team Champion on his title resume.
The heart of the matter
Predicting matches for WrestleMania is something that not only fans and analysts do but also the wrestlers themselves. While it is hard to predict something that is more than half of a year away, some people try to will potential dream matches into existence.
Since he hasn't seen his share of title wins in his WWE career thus far, Strowman merely has his eyes set on main-eventing WrestleMania 36. He also has targeted who he wants to get his hands on at the Grandest Stage of them All next year, Drew McIntyre.
"I will main event WrestleMania," Strowman said. "Hopefully more than once on my way to a Hall of Fame career. I'll start with a main event against Drew McIntyre, and I'll tell you who will win: me."
Strowman and McIntyre have been both allies and foes during their WWE tenures. When McIntyre returned to the WWE last year, he aligned himself with Dolph Ziggler. A third person was needed when the duo was feuding with the Shield, so Strowman joined up with The Showoff and The Scottish Psychopath.
That partnership was short-lived as the announcement of Roman Reigns' Leukemia forced WWE to turn a few heels (Strowman, Elias) into babyfaces. Strowman has remained a face since late October 2018 and he has continued to perform feats of strength such as running through the LED board of the Titantron with Bobby Lashley.
What's next?
The Monster Among Men doesn't have a match slated for SummerSlam, so hopefully, Strowman gets an opponent next week. His star power is too big to not to be on the show and he will eventually headline WrestleMania one day.
