What's the story?
Well, last week's episode of Raw went off the air in unprecedented fashion after Braun Strowman entered the Tag Team Battle Royal to determine who would face The Bar for the Raw Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania.
The problem? Well, The Monster Among Men entered the match without a partner - and won!
Will he be allowed to challenge for the Championships on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Raw General Manager Kurt Angle has tonight confirmed that he will - but on one condition...
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
In case you didn't know...
For the past few weeks, Sheamus and Cesaro have been asking tag teams to step up to The Bar, saying no team is worthy of challenging them for their Tag Team Championships.
Well, that all came to a head last week as the champions were ambushed by the entire tag team division. The pair said they were ready to leave Raw and head on over to SmackDown and, after being calmed down by Kurt Angle, the pair found out their opponents would be whoever won a Tag Team Battle Royal featuring all the tag teams of Raw in the main event.
But 'The Monster Among Men', without a match at Mania, decided to shake things up a bit, as you can see below.
The heart of the matter
This week, the internet has been abuzz with speculation about whether Braun Strowman would be allowed to face the Tag Team Champions alone for the titles. Well, WWE took to social media tonight to post a video of Kurt Angle addressing the situation.
'The Monster Among Men' WILL get his title shot - but only if he can find a tag team partner before WrestleMania.
What's next?
Raw is only a few hours away. I guess we'll see how this one plays out soon enough.
Author's take
Well, it was reported several weeks ago that The Bar's WrestleMania opponents would be a team who were not yet formed with speculation rife that we would either see Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt, or Braun Strowman & Elias team up to face Sheamus and Cesaro - much in the same way Sheamus and Cesaro were paired after a heated rivalry.
So, will WWE throw us a curveball? I made a suggestion last week that definitely split opinion.
Or, more likely, will Elias and Strowman get the band back together with some duelling banjoes? Or an acoustic guitar and a floor bass, in this instance? Let's just say that, that tag team strikes all the right chords for me.
