WWE News: Bray Wyatt on his world title reign, how long he wants to wrestle, Paul Heyman, more

Bray Wyatt plans to wrestle for another 15 years.

What’s the story?

On a recent edition of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, Bray Wyatt spoke about his world title reign, how long he wants to compete as a professional wrestler, his surprising conversation with Paul Heyman, and much more.

In case you didn’t know...

Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) previously performed for WWE since 2009 as Husky Harris but rose to prominence after re-branding himself as Bray Wyatt in 2012. The third-generation pro-wrestler captured the WWE championship for the first time in his career in February of this year.

The heart of the matter

The 29-year old Wyatt gave his take on his reign as WWE champion, stating-

"I think people expected it of me and I definitely expected it of myself and it was everything that I wanted to obtain. It is huge for me. It has made my life's work complete."

Besides, the Eater of Worlds revealed how long he plans to wrestle:

“There's a lot of stuff I have to do yet. It's just (winning the world title) was something very important to me and this is something that will cement me. Forever I will be remembered as something special, but my body is ready to roll for another 15 years, so I'm not looking at stopping. I've got a lot that I want to do and a lot that I want to achieve."

Furthermore, Wyatt stated that Paul Heyman was the person to inform him about a certain unique statistic, said statistic being that Bray is the first competitor in his pro-wrestling family to have won a WWE world title. Besides, the New Face of Fear added in the aforementioned interview that was recorded prior to his title loss to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 33 that he’d love to have title feuds with Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose.

What’s next?

Bray Wyatt is presently on a collision path with former WWE Universal champion Finn Balor having attacked him in the latter’s matchup against Seth Rollins and The Miz. The WWE is likely to book a feud between the two young Superstars in the upcoming episodes of Monday Night RAW.

Author’s take

Bray Wyatt is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated professional wrestlers on the WWE roster today. He has proved his mettle time-and-again and the WWE management keep dropping the ball, as far as booking him is concerned.

In my opinion, Bray is a main-event calibre star, and although the WWE finds a way to insert in into the main-event, they have failed him multiple times by making him go on a terrible losing streak at Wrestlemania. Wake up WWE! Bray Wyatt is a bonafide star and the sooner you guys realise it, the better.
